Life Isn't Crazy Enough

So we decided to throw a move in there... we'll be moving to a bigger place on the 31st of December. It's still in Hurricane, same stake, new ward. 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 2 car garage, 2 tone paint... guess 2 is our lucky number! It was built in 2003 and is really a nice place. We're actually excited. :) Don't ask me how I'm packing everything up though, I don't know yet.

Joviss

One of our nephews, Bridger, calls Joseph "Joviss." It's so cute to hear him say it! And my sister-in-law, Emily, got this darling picture of him on her cell phone. I love it! He looks so happy! And his eyes look brown, but they are not... not yet anyway.

I can't believe Christmas is this week! I hope you are all enjoying the season! John and I already got everything we could ever hope for Christmas! (see picture above.) Last week we went to see The Forgotten Carols. It was awesome, as always. Going to that is our favorite holiday tradition. We never tired of it.

Scoop Me Up

Joseph was dressed in this cute little outfit on Tuesday that said:

I didn't even get it until he was wearing it and I noticed it. I thought it was so cute and said, "okay!" as soon as I read it. Another thing I noticed about this outfit when I was changing him were the bottoms of the feet:

Cute huh. Baby clothes are just fun. He has a little bag that says "I love my mommy" on it. I like that outfit too. :)

So Joseph was three weeks old on Tuesday. I intended to post that day, but alas, the day was over and I still had a list of things to do. In fact, I've had things on my list to do that keep getting put off and have been for days now! Oh well. Baby comes first, and I am having so much fun with him. He really is a wonderful little guy. He is really calm and mellow, most of the time. And, although I have no idea how long this will last, he has been sleeping through the night since he was about a week old. I have been really grateful for that! The only thing that we're concerned about is his weight gain, or lack thereof rather. I weighed him today and he was only 7lbs 1oz, which is 1 more ounce than on Monday, but still... he should have been back at his birth weight of 7lbs 9oz at two weeks of age. He is eating great and I seem to have plenty of milk, so I can't think of why he isn't gaining weight. My doctor wants me to bring him in to weigh him again on Monday. He's concerned about it, but not overly because otherwise Joseph looks, acts and sounds so great he says.

Anyway... here's some more pictures of our little guy and us enjoying him.

what we call the "cheerio" look... don't you love the binky?

I love his eye color... it's a dark blue, but John thinks they will change to brown. I don't know. I kinda hope they stay that pretty dark blue.

all tired out after screaming through his first water bath

cuddling up and sleeping with Joseph is one of my favorite things!

If You Chance to Meet a Frown...

LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!! (my own version of this song... now only if you could hear me singing it...)

My step-brother, Tim, took this awesome picture of Joseph. I just love it! And look! See those two dimples in his chin? Yep. Those are mine. I never thought I'd be so proud of those dimples. To see more of Tim's work click here. He is a great photographer!

So Joseph is two weeks old now! It blows me away how slowly two weeks went by before he was born and how quickly they've flown since he's been born! Time slow down! His umbilical stump fell off Monday night, leaving an adorable little belly button. My baby loves to sleep. He fits right in with our family! He has been sleeping through the night for about a week now. Don't worry, I'm not expecting it to last... I'm just enjoying it while it does. And who knows? Maybe he'll just keep on doing it! :)

Here's a little slideshow of this little guy. He's already looking different! I just love him.

Joseph, You Are Loved!

We are so grateful for our wonderful family and friends and all their love and support at this time. Joseph is so blessed to have so many around him who love him dearly. This slideshow is a tribute to all of those who love him... and even if we don't have a picture of you with him (yet) that doesn't mean we aren't grateful for you too!
