The Cavin

No, that's not a typo. That's how Joseph pronounces the word "cabin."

John's sister works for a podiatrist who owns a beautiful cabin in Brianhead which he graciously allowed us to use the first weekend in October. John's mom, two sisters, another sister and her family of 7 and our family of 4 all went up for the weekend.

It was a gorgeous place to stay with five bedrooms, a big theater room (with no theater equipment, which made for a wonderful place for all the kids to run around like crazy), a hot tub room, two big family rooms, dining room and a loft.

While it was beautiful weather when we left home, there was some early snowfall this year so it was like driving up into a winter wonderland as we went to the cabin. It was really foggy and lightly snowing all day on Saturday and the clouds finally broke on Sunday morning. We simply loved being holed up in the cabin all weekend!

Joseph went sledding with his daddy for the first time. One time down was enough for him before he wanted to come back in, but he did enjoy playing out in the snow.

Joseph had a ball playing with his cousins, especially Josh, who is like, his BFF. :) There was a lot of catapulting of angry birds going on all weekend. Amazing how that game entertains both young and old for hours on end...

And this is, hands down, the best picture I've taken of my two kids together so far! I love these little turkeys!
